At Lowfield we offer the children lots of opportunities to take part in extra curricular activities which take place at lunch times and after school. Some clubs are run by school staff whilst others are run by professional coaches.
Art club have been busy creating these fantastic pictures which are now on display in the Key Stage 2 foyer. They have combined lots of different media to create these stunning pictures.
Last term saw lots of knitting novices turn into knitting experts during our after school knitting club. Miss Rafiq, Miss Perham and Miss O’connell were all extremely impressed at how hard all of the club members tried and they were even more impressed at the quality of scarves that were created by the dedicated girls and boys. Sign up for knitting club this term if you would like to stay cosy this winter with your very own hand-knitted scarf. Remember: places are snapped up in a flash so hand your slip back ASAP!
Year 2 children have been busy planting in the school garden and helping to weed in Foundation outdoor classroom. They have helped to plant bulbs, plug plants and seeds over the last few weeks. We have been kept very busy weeding the beds before planting and adding more soil to all the year group beds.
Due to all of our hard work and effort in the gardens we have received the Royal Horticultural Society Level 3 School Gardening Award. This means we get £150 of plug plants so we can have plants all year round.
