Lantern Making Workshops

At Lowfield there will be some lantern making workshops happening at breakfast club and after school to promote safety around bonfire night.

KS2 Workshops on Monday 31st October

Ks1 Workshops on Wednesday 2nd November.

Foundation Parents Packs

Every Wednesday from 9:00am in the EAL room Mrs Revill will be making resource packs with Foundation parents to help you support your child at home.  Come along and find out how you can help support your child. 

 

This half term we will be focusing on developing the children's physical and fine motor skills which all helps with their writing development.

The Incredible Years

What is Incredible Years?

A 15 week programme for parents of children aged 2-8.  It deals with the kinds of behaviour and issues that can make family life stressful.  It strengthens parent-child interactions and attachment, reducing harsh discipline and fosters parents' ability to promote their children's social, emotional and language development.

 

Next Programme: 6th October 2016

Venue: Highfield Trinity Church, London Road

Times: 12:15pm to 2:45pm

* Ideas how to achieve a balanced diet for your family

* Ideas how to incorporate exercise into daily life

Time: 1pm

Foundation Packs

Come along this half term to make maths packs with Mrs Revill to support your child with their learning at home.  Make maths games, counters, calculation games and have some fun meeting other foundation parents.

Family Learning - Family Health Matters

A free, fun course for parents/carers that will provide awareness of child health issues. 

Come along to find out healthy eating initiatives and refresh your skills.  Would you like to know more about Healthy eating?   Gain a nationally recognised certificate?  Improve your skills?

 

At U-Mix Starting 16th February - Every Tuesday for 6 weeks at 1-pm.

E-Safety Advice for Parents

On Thursday 4th February at 1:30pm in the hall.  Julia Codman, E-safety Project Manager for Sheffield City Council, will present the workshop and will speak about issues such as on-line gaming, social media, mobile phones, Cyber Bullying and preventing young people being led into radicalisation and extremism.  Mrs Khan and Miss Kalthum will be available to translate if needed.
